How to become a Wireless Leiden volunteer?
If you consider to become a volunteer (you are most welcome!) it is probably a good idea to drop in at one of the weekly walk in consultancy hours to meet some volunteers and to discuss in what way you would like to make a contribution. If there is no walk in session for some reason or another (consult this website) you can also send an e-mail to bestuur(at)lijst(dot)wirelessleiden(dot)nl. We will then contact you.
The next step is that you complete the intake form 'vrijwilligersverklaring' (volunteer declaration) that you should hand over or send to our secretary (Alphons Diepenbrocklaan 20, 2343 NA Oegstgeest).
Don't forget to choose a volunteer's name (most volunteers choose their first name) and your e-mail address!
As soon as the secretary has received the volunteer's declaration, he will register you as a 'volunteer' on the website.
You will then receive automatically your volunteer's password at your e-mail address. There also will be generate an email addres for you in the form "volunteer's name(at)wirelessleiden(dot)nl". Mail sent to that address will be forwarded to the email address wirth which you were registered.
You can login on the site and complete your profile as desired. Thisis appreciated, because in that way other volunteers wiil be able to see who you are.
